Final state carnival hits Townsville

In the last state event for the year, 88 teams from 28 different netball associations will come together this weekend in Townsville for the Suzuki Country Carnival.

The Country Carnival is the last of the three carnivals in the Suzuki State Series and is an opportunity for smaller associations to compete against each other for a state title.

Netball Queensland will be working in partnership with Townsville City Enterprise to ensure that this event, as well as the next Suzuki State Age Championships in June of 2016, run smoothly.

This year, the Country Carnival will include an Open Men division, as well as its usual age divisions, including 13s, 14s, 15s, 16s, 18s and Open Women.

The two-day event begins on Saturday 1 August with the Opening Ceremony at 7:30am and will conclude Sunday 2 August with presentations at 2:00pm.
