MVP

It was a huge weekend of netball at Palm Beach at the Mission Foods Primary Schools Cup with lots of fun had in the sun.

South Coast Netball Association hosted 79 teams schools teams from all over the state competing to be crowned the top school in Queensland.

With a sense of deja vu, Matthew Flinders and Sunshine Coast Grammar took to the court to battle it out in a rematch of last years Grand Final with Matthew Flinders turning the tables in 2014, in a close match winning 8 to 6.

Mission Queensland Firebird Gabi Simpson selected the MVP for the Grand Final, Goal Defence, Viv Fitzpatrick from Matthew Flinders.

After all the pool games were played the top two schools from each pool battled it out to advance through to final 8 elimination finals.

Top 8 schools were, Immanual College, Matthew Flinders, Sheldon College, Sunshine Coast Grammar, Sommerset College, Siena Catholic Primary, Emmanual College and Samford State School all fighting for a spot in the final four.

After another round of elimination games the final 4 schools were, Sunshine Coast Grammar, Matthew Flinders Anglican, Siena Catholic Primary and Immanual College.

The 3rd and 4th place was decided between Siena College and Immanual College with another closely fought match seeing Immanual College just taking home the win 16-15.
