Netball scores new major partner

Netball Queensland has today announced a new major partnership with The Coffee Club for both Netball Queensland and the Queensland Firebirds.

As well as being recognised as a Major Partner, The Coffee Club will also become the Queensland State Sponsor for the ANZ NetSetGo program which aims to increase junior participation and entry into netball.

Netball Queensland Chief Executive Officer Catherine Clark said the new sponsorship recognises the Queensland Firebird’s outstanding success and contribution to raising the profile of netball in Australia.

“Both the Queensland Firebirds and The Coffee Club have come from humble beginnings in Brisbane, proving to be leaders in their respective fields,” she said.

“The Firebirds and The Coffee Club are iconic Queensland brands and it’s an honour for us to join forces in this exciting partnership.”

“Signing this sponsorship agreement with The Coffee Club highlights their belief in the future success and longevity of our Queensland Firebirds team and the ANZ Championship league, as well as the importance of nurturing participation at the grassroots through the ANZ NetSetGo program. We are looking forward to working with The Coffee Club to build on our success and take Netball in Queensland to the next level.”

The Coffee Club CEO Jason Ball said they are excited to partner with Australia’s leading female sport.

“The Coffee Club is thrilled to be on board with Netball Queensland as the Naming Rights partner of the Queensland Firebirds and State Sponsor of the ANZ NetSetGO program.”

“As Australia’s largest home-grown café group, we are proud to be associated with one of the most popular female sports in Australia and New Zealand, and committed to supporting not only the current Queensland Firebirds, but also the Firebirds of the future,” he said.

“The Coffee Club is also excited to be involved with the world’s premier netball competition as the Official Ball partner, across Australia and New Zealand in the ANZ Championship league. There is a very strong and clear alignment of our brand values, our customers and the opportunities presented by our new Netball relationships.”

Ms Clark thanked previous Netball Queensland and Queensland Firebirds sponsor Mission Foods for their valued contribution to netball at all levels.

“We are extremely grateful to Mission Foods who have supported netball in Queensland since 2010,” she said. “During this time Netball Queensland and the Queensland Firebirds have had great success, including winning two ANZ Championship titles.”

As part of the new sponsorship The Coffee Club will have a strong presence in the Queensland ANZ NetSetGo program and support our Firebirds of the future and their families.
