Cougars suffer loss against lynx

The Kedron-Wavell Services Club Cougars have suffered a devastating loss in round 10 of the Queensland Champions Cup with the Suncoast Lynx securing a 60-45 victory at Ormiston College on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.

With a 15-point loss Cougars captain, Kate Bullen, said tonight the team fell short.

“I think today we just didn’t come to play and we felt a bit flat,” she said.

However, Ms Bullen had nothing but praise for the Suncoast Lynx and their strong performance.

“All credit to them, they pushed to the very end and they played really smart netball and made us really work hard for the ball.”

Standout player of the match was tier two player and centre Mahalia Cassidy who will travel to the Australian Institute of Sport this weekend to take part in a training workshop.

Round 11 of the 2013 Queensland Champions Cup will see the Cougars take on the McDonald’s Steelcats at Cornubia on Saturday, May 25 starting from 7pm.
