ANC & Qld Sapphire

Queensland Sapphire

The Queensland Sapphires are Netball Queensland’s elite senior representative team selected from the quality of talent on display within the HART Sapphire Series.

The Queensland Sapphires were launched in 2021 to compete in the inaugural Australian National Championships (ANC).

This exciting new team will compete for QLD as a progression from the Queensland Fusion who played in the previously known Deakin University Australian National League (DUANL).

The Australian National Championships (ANC) replaced the DUANL as a national domestic tournament that showcases the rising stars of the Australian netball talent pool.  In 2021 the ANC will be hosted in the regional centre of Traralgon, Victoria from 13th to 19th September.

Ten teams will contest the two-pool seven day round robin competition finishing in cross over finals and an ultimate champion.

The QLD Sapphires selection policy can be downloaded here.
