Attendance at a workshop or clinic provides coaches with an opportunity to update their skills and their accreditation points, and these will be advertised here from time to time. These may be offered by Netball Queensland or run by an Association and/or Region.

Dare To Develop A Diamond Workshops



Are you looking for a coaching professional development opportunity with a practical approach?

The Dare to Develop a Diamond workshop and program is based around three core components:

  • Technical and Tactical skill development
  • Physical Preparation
  • Athletes wellbeing

Every netball action in the game is defined by various factors and the three core components provide coaches with an insight in to these areas.
Cost per person is $25 this includes a manual. Booking is essential as places are limited.


These workshops are a ground-breaking initiative of Netball Australia, focusing on the development of netball athletes and specifically targeting 11-13 and 14-16 year olds.

Creative Skill Progression Workshop

The Creative Skill Progression Workshops will be targeting NetSetGo and club coaches who are coaching 11-13 year olds. To RSVP your attendance, please use the  relevant email contact above.

Game Sense

The Game Sense Workshop is intended to provide professional development opportunities for participants who have completed, at a minimum, the Netball Australia Foundation Coaching Course. Participation in the workshop will provide updating points. There are no assessment or competency requirements for this workshop.

Course duration – The Game Sense Workshop can be tailored to the needs of the participant group. The workshop has been developed to be conducted over 3 hours.

7 Step Progression

This coach education workshop is intended to reinforce the seven step skill progressions through theory and practical netball coaching examples and assist coaches to identify and correct technique faults and provide appropriate feedback.

Course duration – The 7 steps workshop can be tailored to the needs of the participant group and time available. The workshop has been developed to be conducted over 2 hours.


Selection is a crucial component of athlete development and pathways. This course is designed to up-skill coaches on selection techniques appropriate for selecting individual athletes into teams or programs.

Mentoring is an effective way for coaches and officials to learn and develop under the supervision of a senior coach. Mentoring can assist with coaching skill improvement and can be a sounding board for problems.
