Netball Queensland’s Chief Executive Officer Anna Carroll released this statement following today’s announcment that Queensland netballer Gretel Tippett has secured a contract with the NSW Swifts for the 2014 ANZ Championship season.

“Gretel is a great talent and valued member of the Queensland and Australian 21/U side. Since making the switch from basketball to netball in 2012, she has developed with our pathways to become a very promising goal shooter.”
“This season, she was a replacement player for the Mission Queensland Firebirds in three games, stepping in for Chelsea Pitman who was recovering from injury.”
