Netball Queensland’s top ranked U21 players will head to South Australia next week to compete in the National Championships.
The Queensland U21 team last won the National title in Adelaide in 1983 and coach Jenny Brazel said she would like to bring home the silverware after such a long drought.
“Our goal is to make the top four and then see what happens from there,” Brazel said.
“After our last training session I think the girls are all looking really good and are looking forward to the challenge,” she said.
“We had a really great on court hit out against the QCC girls with some intense match play.”
“We did have a small scare with Bronte Orreal rolling her ankle but our physio has given us the thumbs up that she will be playing at nationals.”
“We were lucky enough to have Tracey Jeans Fraser the EDS coach came along to training and offer some of her advice,” Brazel said.
The Netball Queensland U17 and U19 captains have been announced.
