Firebirds clinics are back!

Look out Queensland you are about to be invaded by Firebirds… the netball kind of course as the ever popular clinics make a return.

Netball Queensland and the Mission Queensland Firebirds supported by the Queensland Government are excited to announce our Firebirds Community Development Program clinics for December.

Firebirds Community Development Program clinics are an opportunity for 11-15 year olds to develop their skills and learn about umpiring and coaching pathways by participating in sessions lead by the Mission Queensland Firebirds and accredited coaches and umpires.

Mission Queensland Firebirds young gun, Gretel Tippett knows how important these clinics are to kids and is looking forward to heading out to the grassroots of netball.

“I love getting out to the Associations, especially getting out to my home town on the Gold Coast and helping promote netball and hopefully find some future Firebirds,” Tippett said.

“I know how exciting it is to have your sporting hero’s come to town so hoping we will see lots of kids come along and have some fun while learning about netball.”

“The clinics are a great way to encourage young girls to be involved in sport and to get active, they are also a positive way to promote women in sport,” Tippett said.

Netball Queensland, the Mission Queensland Firebirds and the Queensland Government support and endorse the development of all netball participants across the state.

More dates will be announced for January and February clinics soon.
