NETBALL Queensland’s proud partnership with Coca-Cola Amatil has been recognised at the 2012 Coca-Cola Amatil National Supplier of the Year Awards held on Thursday, February 8 at Sydney Town Hall.
As one of 13 Australian-based nominees in the prestigious new category of Sponsorship and Assets, Netball Queensland has been announced the inaugural winner ahead of the Sydney Swans and ANZ Stadium.
Prior to the nomination, Netball Queensland was required to submit a business plan on the execution of the Coca-Cola Amatil sponsorship and deliver a presentation thoroughly detailing last year’s achievements.
The partnership, dating back to March 2012, features Coca-Cola Amatil as the Official Beverage Supplier of Netball Queensland including sponsorship of the Mission Queensland Firebirds via Coca-Cola Amatil’s Mount Franklin Spring Water Brand.
Included under the Mount Franklin Spring Water Brand is naming rights sponsorship of South-East Queensland’s premier netball competition, the Mount Franklin Challenge.
Netball Queensland Commercial Operations Manager Kellyann Angel said the recognition will spark further success.
“Winning the Sponsorship and Asset category at the 2012 Coca-Cola Amatil National Supplier of the Year Awards sends a key message to current and prospective partners regarding sponsorship opportunities in netball,” she said.
Netball Queensland also scooped the prize pool at the Queensland Coca-Cola Amatil Sponsor of the Year Awards held on Wednesday, February 7 in Brisbane.
Successful in receiving 2012 CCA QLD Sponsor Partner of the Year, 2012 Best Volume Growth and 2012 Best Grassroots Program awards, Angel said the state-based achievement is also significant.
“Considering the event included every major sporting team in Queensland, Netball Queensland is incredibly proud to receive the recognition,” she said.
“Coca-Cola Amatil’s commitment to Netball Queensland supports netball from a grassroots level right up to the elite.
“An integral link in this chain is the dedication of the Sponsorhip and Marketing team at Coca-Cola Amatil Queensland.”
