The Samsung Queensland State Netball League (QSNL) is the state’s premier netball competition, featuring the best athletes and providing a launching pad for future elite netballers and officials. The competition is contested weekly across two divisions and provides a direct pathway to state underage, City v Country and Queensland Fusion representative honours.

Format

Division 1

Contested by: Brisbane North Cougars, Brisbane South Wildcats, Carina Leagues Club Tigers, Brisbane West Lions, Golden South Jaguars and Suncoast Lynx.

Division 1 is the premier tier of QSNL competition, featuring the state’s elite netballers and providing a launching point for further senior representative honours. Six teams compete in a weekly 10 round competition, with the top four playing off for the championship.

Division 2

Contested by: All teams.

Division 2 provides development opportunities for netballers, umpires, coaches and officials and is made up of two conferences – City and Country. City teams compete in a 15 round regular season and Country teams a 14 round regular season, before the top four teams in City and top two teams in Country meet to play off for the championship.

U/19

Contested by: Brisbane North Cougars, Brisbane South Wildcats, Carina Leagues Club Tigers, Brisbane West Lions, Golden South Jaguars, Suncoast Lynx, Darling Downs Panthers, Wide Bay Thundercats and Capricorn Claws.

New to Samsung QSNL in 2017, the under 19 competition will give the next generation of Queensland netball stars the chance to hone their skills before moving into elite level competition. Teams will compete in a sixteen round competition, with the top four playing off for the championship.
