National Badge Testing

The Netball Australia National Umpire Development Framework sets out details for its National Badging System, including pre-requisites and key performance indicators for each of the National Badges.

National C Badge Prerequisites:

  • 70% or more  in Section 1 Theory Exam
  • Level 1 Online Umpires Course

National B Badge Prerequisites:

  • 80% or more in Section 1 Theory Exam
  • Level 1 Online Umpires Course

National A Badge Prerequisites:

  • 90% or more in Section 1 Theory Exam
  • Level 2 Umpires Course
  • Rules in Action course

 

Associations need to complete the Umpire Practical Assessment Form and forward it through to the Accreditation Officer accreditation@netballq.org.au for a National Badge to be awarded.

Associations are responsible for testing National C and B Badge candidates as set out in the National Umpire Development Framework.

National C Badge testing panel:

  • 1 x C Badge
  • 1 x A/B Badge

National B Badge testing panel:

  • 2 x B Badge
  • 1 x A or higher level Badge

National A Badge:

  • Netball Queensland is responsible for testing National A Badge candidates.
  • Further information available from the Netball Queensland Accreditation Officer.

 

Updating

National Badges remain active for 6 years. To update you need to complete an education course, for example a Section 1 Theory Exam. A completed Update Notification Form must be submitted to the Netball Queensland Accreditation Officer. accreditation@netballq.org.au
