The Boys and Men’s Netball Sub-Committee has been established by the Netball Queensland Board to strengthen male pathways and increase male participation in netball, at all levels across Queensland.
The Boys and Men’s Netball Board Sub-Committee will:
- support a proactive, inclusive and consultative approach to the integration and inclusion of pathways, programs, competitions and events for boys and men commencing in 2022;
- develop a road map for integrating and establishing pathways, programs, competitions and events that increases male participation in netball across Queensland;
- provide recommendations on the integration of the Queensland Sun’s Men’s team and netball programs into Netball Queensland, including the transfer of intellectual property;
- foster a strong collaborative partnership to support the integration and delivery of netball programs, products, competitions for males across Queensland;
- provide advice to the Netball Queensland Board and Executive on emerging issues and risks that may impact on the inclusion of males in netball at all levels;
- act as a forum that provides a balanced stakeholder perspective to inform Board decisions and priorities on key issues and priorities aligned to the implementation of the Netball United Strategic Plan 2020 - 2024 and Netball Queensland functions and services; and
- act as advocates for diversity and inclusion to raise awareness in the netball and broader community of the inclusion of boys and men in netball and more broadly Netball Queensland position on inclusion and diversity.
