Volunteer of the Month
Volunteer of the Month
Netball Queensland's Volunteer of the Month Recognition Program celebrates the volunteers making a difference in Associations across the state. Each Association selects a monthly winner, who is then nominated for the statewide Volunteer of the Month award. Discover this month's winners and their stories below.
Lainie has dedicated years of her life to the netball community, coaching for her club for eight years, serving seven years as President, umpiring, mentoring players, and running the adult social competition. She continues to coach and volunteer despite her own daughter no longer playing, which says so much about her passion and commitment to the sport.
Lainie genuinely loves helping netballers grow in confidence and skill, and she is always willing to step in wherever needed. She also goes above and beyond to support families within the netball community who may be doing it tough, quietly organising help and support behind the scenes when it’s needed most.
Lainie's dedication, kindness, and countless hours of volunteer work make a huge difference to the Caloundra and Maleny Netball community. Volunteers like Lainie are the heart of grassroots sport, and her contribution to netball is truly invaluable.
Lainey was nominated by Caloundra District Netball Association as apart of Netball Queensland's Volunteer Reward and Recognition Program for associations and clubs.
