This is a practical, hands-on workshop about coaching NetSetGO. The workshop provides a great opportunity to learn new skills and develop your understanding of the games and activities to have a fun and rewarding season developing the future of Netball. Some of the topics that will be covered include: NetSetGO Background Modified games and netball skills Group Management Setting up a session How to ‘CHANGE IT’ – making adjustments to activities to suit the needs of the players Introducing the use of questioning into your coaching – how to develop thinking netballers Coaches should come to the session dressed (including suitable footwear) to participate in the practical activities and games.
Coaching Convenors are encouraged to complete the below form to host a Development Face to Face Coaching Workshop or an Intermediate Coaching Course. Development Face to Face Requirements: Participants - * Minimum age 15 * Current member of Netball QLD Pre-Requisites - * Completion of Foundation Coaching Course * Completion of Development Online Coaching Course * Rules of Netball Theory Exam pass (70%) Course Requirements - * Minimum of 6, maximum of 12 participants * Host association responsible for court, equipment & athletes for practical session Cost - $62 (inc GST) Register via MyNetball account
Intermediate Coaching Course Requirements: Participants - * Minimum age 16 * Current member of Netball QLD Pre-Requisites - * Completion of Development Coach Accreditation * At least 1 year/season of coaching experience after the completion of Development Coach Accreditation Format: Face to Face Coaching Course: This is a one day course. Participants will complete theory components along with practical coaching assessment during the day. Online Coaching Course Intermediate theory components will be covered in 2 x 2 hour online workshops. Participants will complete practical coaching assessment on a later date. Course Requirements - * Minimum of 6, maximum of 12 participants * Host association responsible for court, equipment & athletes for practical components Cost - $165 (inc GST) Register via MyNetball account

2020 SSN - Netball Queensland is pleased to announce Get in the Know coaching and umpiring workshops will be continuing this year with a little difference - via the online platform Zoom. Enjoy an opportunity to join in the discussions with your fellow netty fans whilst watching the game from your living room. The added bonus is getting to gain further insights when special guests including coaching staff from Firebirds, opposition teams and umpiring personnel join the discussion pre-game, half-time and post-game GITK Workshops in 2020 will include: Pre-game, half time and post-game discussions led by NQ facilitators Participant workbook Sharing with other coaches & umpires Watching the live game on your television Cost: $20
The Next Step program is a great educational resource that offers the opportunity for individuals to enhance their personal development and maximise their potential. The program supports the existing NCAS framework & NOAS framework of educational workshops. They are designed for both aspiring and experienced coaches, umpires and officials looking to enhance their understanding and knowledge of the principles of Netball officiating and coaching.
