Green Band Initiative 

Netball Queensland successfully launched the Green Band Initiative at Senior State Age last month and we are now providing the opportunities for Associations to take part.

This important initiative is designed to support our under-18 umpires by fostering a safer and more encouraging environment. Umpires wearing a green band will be easily identifiable, serving as a visual cue to remind everyone—players, coaches, and spectators alike—that these are young officials.

By promoting understanding and respect, the Green Band Initiative helps ensure our young umpires feel supported as they learn and grow within the game.
