Netball Queensland History and Traditions Advisory Group - EOI process
The Board of Netball Queensland (NQ) have established the History and Traditions Advisory Group to advise the Board and Management on matters of cultural heritage.
The History and Traditions Advisory Group shall support the strategic objectives of Netball Queensland by:
- Providing the NQ Board and Management with advice and guidance on enhancing history and tradition within NQ and the broader netball community and to ensure all stakeholders are able to maintain a strong link to the sport’s past;
- Providing advice and guidance on preserving information and record keeping mechanisms;
- Providing advice on NQ history and tradition policies, initiatives and programs;
- Providing advice and support to secure funding for history and tradition programs and initiatives;
- Contributing to the development and preservations of systems and processes to ensure information about the individuals who have contributed to the history and tradition of the sport is preserved;
- Providing guidance to the NQ Board on selection criteria and nominations for Honorary Life Membership as per section 5.5 € of the NQ Constitution to ensure those who have contributed to the tradition and history of the game are appropriately recognised and honoured;
- Acting as advocates within the Netball community to raise awareness of the importance of preserving history and tradition.
