The Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport has announced that a new program will open soon on Tuesday 31 January 2023 - the Minor Infrastructure Program (the program).
The program provides targeted funding to eligible not-for-profit sport or active recreation organisations, Queensland local governments, State Level Organisations and National Sport Organisation operating in Queensland to help the sport and active recreation industry deliver new, upgraded and end of life replacement infrastructure projects and works.
The objective of the program is to enhance community sport and active recreation participation opportunities through the provision of spaces that enable quality, accessible, inclusive, safe and more efficient activity.
Total funding for Round 1 of $14.67 million (GST exclusive) is available to support projects valued up to $1 million with a maximum grant of $415 000 (GST exclusive) depending on the project location.
The program will include three rounds - 31 January 2023 (Round 1), January 2024 (Round 2) and January 2025 (Round 3).
We encourage you to apply if you feel your organisation can make a difference to help getting more Queenslanders moving, more often.
Applications will open on Tuesday 31 January 2023 and close on Thursday 2 March 2023.
o Active Clubs Round 3 will provide funding to local and regional sport and active recreation organisations to support volunteers and provide flexible and safe physical activity opportunities to increase sport and active recreation participation.

The Gambling Community Benefit (GCBF) Super Round is now open and closes at midnight on 28 February 2023. Grants of up to $100,000 are available in this round.
Organisations can apply for a wide variety of items under the GCBF, for example:
- community events/training
- equipment (including medical equipment)
- facility improvements
- machinery
- printing/publications/marketing
- solar
- vehicles/boats
- workshops/conferences.

The FairPlay program provides vouchers up to $150 to support children to get active. The vouchers can be used for sport and active recreation membership, registration or participation fees with registered activity providers. There is a limit of one voucher per child per calendar year and you can check eligibility criteria and information on applying for a voucher for your child can be found at this link.
Applications open on 25 January and close 23 March 2023. Vouchers must be presented to Activity Providers by 17 May and redeemed by the 31 May 2023. Please note applications may close earlier if the program budget is exhausted.

Emerging Athlete Pathways aims to foster the development of young athletes and support elite athlete pathways by providing financial assistance to help alleviate the costs associated with attending championship events. The subsidy provides financial assistance through 3 event tiers and supports attendance at specific state, national and international events.
When activated, the SRDRP supports not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations with funding to re-establish their facilities and activities after extreme natural events, including floods, fire, cyclones and severe storms. Funding of up to $5000 (Level 1) is available for eligible sport and active recreation organisations located in areas declared under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
