Get your netball on these school holidays at our new clinics

Novice and experienced netballers aged 5-10 and 11-14 years can get their netball on these school holidays at Netball Queensland’s school holiday clinics.

The new format clinics, open to boys and girls are being held across South-East Queensland and will provide something different for participants these September school holidays. 

With a focus on skill development, participants can expect to learn basic netball skills as well as attacking, defending, shooting and mid-court skills in a rotational format. Of course, Firebirds fans will also appreciate the opportunity to be part of a Firebirds activity – details are still under wraps!

Netball Queensland GM of Community Sport, Melissa Bennett said the new format clinics will provide something exciting and different from September 2021, and cater for all levels of experience, including those who want to give netball a try for the first time.

“It’s time to shake things up. We’ve also taken onboard the feedback from previous clinic participants so, if you or your child/children have been to clinics in the past, expect the September 2021 clinics to take things up a notch, Bennett said.”

“We know there are lots of parents looking for the opportunity to occupy their children over the holidays and get friends or your team together for a ‘play date’. Of course, we’re happy to help facilitate a well-earned break for parents too.”

Clinic bookings are available for morning and afternoon sessions, are 3 hours duration and are reasonably priced at $80 (for 5-10 years) and $95 (for 11-14 years).

Community Development Officers across the state will host the clinics where netballers of all ages can learn about both netball and the great value of teamwork.
