Netball Queensland would like to congratulate the successful players, coaches and umpires who have been selected to contest the 2020 Nissan State Titles.
The announcement follows the conclusion of clinics delivered in 12 separate regions around the State across July and August, as part of Netball Queensland’s Emerging Talent Program.
This year’s clinics attracted a record number of participants from Cairns to the Gold Coast, with more than 500 players and over 100 umpires and coaches pushing for selection.
A dedicated team of 36 selectors, 11 umpire coaches and 8 coach facilitators from a variety of different regions were responsible for the delivery and ultimate success of this year’s clinics – sharing and developing knowledge and skills throughout Queensland.
The selected players will represent their respective regions at the 2020 Nissan State Titles at the home of netball in Queensland, Nissan Arena, from Sunday 20th to Tuesday 22nd September, while the young umpires will also have the opportunity to be appointed to officiate at the competition through an expression of interest process.
The 2021 Queensland 17U State squad will be selected and announced at the conclusion of the event.
