This year's call for nominations follows the well-deserved recognition of Diana Moore and Paula Sale, who were appointed Honorary Life Members at the NQ Annual General Meeting in April.
Both women have delivered extraordinary, multi-decade contributions to netball across a range of vital roles, leaving an indelible legacy on the sport within their communities and across Queensland more broadly.
Eligible Voting Members (Member Associations or Legacy Life Members) may nominate an individual by submitting the official form, signed by two nominators, along with supporting evidence of service.
Nominations close at 5pm on Friday, 20 November 2026, and should be lodged with the NQ Company Secretary via post or email using the form available on the Netball Queensland website.
After nominations close, the History and Traditions Advisory Group will review submissions and make recommendations to the NQ Board in early 2027.
The Board will then endorse no more than two nominees to members for election at the 2027 Annual General Meeting. Note that up to two Honorary Life Members may be elected per year, in line with clause 5.5 (b) of the NQ Constitution.
We encourage our community – associations, clubs, volunteers, staff, and supporters – to reflect on those whose enduring dedication has shaped netball and consider submitting a nomination.
