The Finals cap off an outstanding preliminary phase that featured 678 teams from 272 schools contest 2,763 matches across 12 regions, involving approximately 8,136 players.
This year's competition recorded encouraging growth in the Northern, Capricornia (South), Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast, Darling Downs and South West, Metropolitan North and Metropolitan West regions, reflecting the continued strength and reach of school netball at grassroots level.
From that enormous field, 56 teams representing 42 schools have earned their place at Nissan Arena, where they will contest 230 matches across the Boys Open (12 teams), Cup (24 teams) and Shield (20 teams) divisions.
Championship division teams qualified through their regional competitions to book their spot in the Finals Series, joined by a handful of wildcard entries selected by Netball Queensland's High-Performance panel.
Somerset College, Robina State High School, Downlands College, The Cathedral College and First Nations Academy of Excellence have all secured wildcard places in the Cup division, John Paul College has claimed the Shield wildcard and Mabel Park State High School has been added to the Boys Open division following a regional withdrawal.
The Finals Series also serves as a critical step in Netball Queensland's umpiring pathway, with officials appointed on the back of strong performances in regional and NQ competitions now set to be assessed by High-Performance Umpire Coach Marc Henning for potential selection to State Titles in September.
Netball Queensland's Green Armband Initiative will again be in place to support under-18 umpires, giving players, coaches and spectators a clear visual reminder to encourage and respect these young officials as they develop within the game.
The Vicki Wilson Championship is presented thanks to the University of Queensland.
NQ partners Tribal Sport, HART Sport, McDonald's, Ray White, Fulton Hogan and Containers For Change will also be onsite and activating throughout the event.
