Queensland 17U & 19U

17 & UNDER STATE TEAM

Following a three-month train to trial campaign, the following 16 players have been selected in the 2021 QLD 17 & Under State Team.

On May 31, this squad will be refined as a travelling 12 and 4 x training partners.

17 & Under QLD State Team Head Coach Lauren Forbes commended all 32 squad members on their intent and enthusiasm across the three month selection period, with the players pushing the selection panel to the very end in their final deliberations.

“We’re really proud of the girls for what they’ve contributed to this process and how they’ve developed in this past 12 weeks.  It’s brilliant to see so much talent coming into the high performance pathway for QLD and I’m excited to see what these players can achieve together” said Forbes.

“There is a nice mix of HART Sapphire Series players alongside a few fresh faces that will add depth and X Factor to the group, now we just have to get stuck into the hard work of preparing for tournament.”

The National Netball Championships are to be held in Launceston, Tasmania from 3rd to 11th July.

19 & UNDER STATE TEAM

At the conclusion of a fiercely competitive three month campaign, 19 & Under QLD Head Coach Simone Nalatu has selected her final 16 to prepare for the National Netball Championships in Launceston this July.

Australian 21 & Under squad members Reilley Batcheldor and Maddi Ridley spear head a jam packed list of the HART Sapphire Series’ most exciting talent with the 2021 19 & Under selections fairing as one of the state’s most hotly contested squads to date.

“This has been an incredibly tough selection for our panel, with so much talent on display and such a variety of playing styles within the group” said Nalatu.

“It is a testament to the great work being done by our HART Sapphire Series Clubs that our young talent are maturing and developing their high performance standards to step up so strongly across this process.”

“Myself and the coaches are looking forward to working with the players as they play within the Sapphire Series, to prepare for Nationals in July.”

On May 31, this squad will be refined as a travelling 12 and 4 x training partners.
