Next year’s edition of the popular event will be held September 19-20 at Downey Park’s complex in Windsor.
Open to all primary school children in Years 4-6, the Primary Schools Cup provides an opportunity for girls and boys from across Queensland to play netball in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.
“We are thrilled to host Netball Queensland’s 2026 Primary Schools Cup,” Downey Park Netball Association President Lou Corrigan said.
“It is an honour for our association and reflects our ongoing commitment to developing young athletes and a wonderful opportunity to support primary school sport across Queensland.”
In 2025, 84 teams from 55 schools took part in the Primary Schools Cup at Underwood Park Netball Association with Marymount Primary School taking out top honours with success in the Championship Division.
“Netball Queensland’s Primary Schools Cup is always one of the most anticipated events on the annual netball calendar with hundreds of players from right across the state coming together to compete with great team spirit,” Netball Queensland General Manager Netball Glenn Dennis said.
“Participants are supported by scores of umpires, coaches, teachers, volunteers and spectators who – alongside Netball Queensland staff – help deliver a fantastic experience.
“I’m sure next year’s event will be no different and we’re excited to get to Downey Park in September.”
