This year’s Senior State Age is set to be massive with 2100 players across 210 teams eager to a part of the incredible 1760 matches that are scheduled over the four-day competition.
As a part of those impressive numbers, this year’s competition is host to 196 Girls teams (11 more than last year), as well as 14 Boys teams, with a total of 57 associations making the trek to Ipswich.
Fresh off their first year of attendance at the 2024 Junior State Age, Capricorn Netball Association has registered its first ever Senior State Age Boys team into this year’s competition.
A new invitational team, the Golden South Jaguars, also comes into this year’s competition while Brisbane Netball Association and Downey Park Netball Association are set to collaborate to enter a joint team in the Boys division.
In more good news, for the first time since Covid-19 impacted the netball community, the Lockyer Valley and Maranoa Netball Associations are taking part while new affiliate Pimpama United Netball Association heads to the Senior State Age environment for the first time.
As a part of this year’s Senior State Age competition, NQ will be supporting the green wristband campaign, helping support our under-18 umpires.
For friends and family members that are unavailable to make the journey to this year’s competition, there’s no need to worry. This year’s Senior State Age will have select matches live streamed for on NQ’s new NetballQ TV streaming service – LIVE AND FREE.
To help make this Senior State Age one to remember a total of eight partners getting involved in the event - The University of Queensland, Ray White, Containers for Change, HART Sport, Baskin Robbins, Tribal Sport, Mizuno and Coca Cola.
The Chill out zone is also set to be the home of both the NQ and Firebirds tent, with exciting activations taking place across the event.
