Applications are now open for this unique opportunity to make your voice heard and help influence decisions that matter.
The YAG provides a platform for young people aged 12 to 24 to share their perspectives, contribute ideas, and provide valuable feedback on the netball experience in Queensland.
Over a 10-month term from February to November 2025, the cohort of 10 YAG members will explore key areas impacting netball and offer fresh insights to the Netball Queensland Board and management team.
The 2024 cohort made significant strides, including promoting diversity and inclusion, identifying barriers like costs and access to resources, and championing the vital contributions of volunteers and officials. Members also shared powerful stories about the personal and athletic impact of netball on their lives.
Among the standout achievements was the work of Thomas Hansen from Bundaberg and 2023 graduate Imogen Anderson, who helped establish a YAG at Bundaberg Netball Association. Thomas also helped the creation of a "Shoosh Round" for the Bundaberg Netball Association’s youth group, fostering a focused and respectful game-day atmosphere for players, coaches, and officials.
This is your chance to contribute to this legacy, gain valuable experience, and help guide the future of netball in Queensland.
Applications close 4pm, Friday January 3 2025.
