Now in its seventh year, the Netball Queensland initiative brought together 84 teams from 55 schools across the state, with the Years 4 to 6 students contesting 466 matches across Championship, Challenge and Development divisions. The event continues to provide young athletes with the opportunity to experience competitive netball in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.
Marymount proved the team to beat, overcoming St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Bardon in a high-quality Championship Grand Final. Marymount’s Penelope Chitti was awarded the Olivia Douglas Memorial Award as the Championship Grand Final MVP, recognising her outstanding performance and honouring the memory of Olivia Douglas, a young Gold Coast netballer whose passion continues to inspire.
Rochedale State School emerged as Challenge division winners after defeating King’s Christian College Pimpama, while Worongary State School secured the Development title with a victory over All Hallows’ School.
The competition showcased Queensland’s depth of talent, with schools representing Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Darling Downs/Ipswich and Wide Bay-Burnett. Logan City Council’s generous $15,000 sponsorship helped bring the event to life while Netball Queensland partners Tribal Sport, HART Sport, Mizuno, Ray White Queensland and Baskin Robbins all added to the vibrant atmosphere.
Grand Final umpires were also recognised for their efforts, with Anatoia Gemmell and Tamara Ryan officiating the Championship decider, Zoe de Jersey and Jacinta Looi overseeing the Challenge final and Grace Wholohan and Addisyn Parsons controlling the Development finale.
