Building on the incredible momentum since the event's reintroduction in 2024, this year's Carnival stood as the biggest yet, bringing together over 800 athletes across more than 70 teams, with upwards of 1000 participants, officials, and supporters creating an electric atmosphere throughout Saturday and Sunday's competition.
The undeniable story of the weekend belonged to the Mackay Monarchs, who capitalised brilliantly on home-court advantage to claim two divisional titles.
The highlight came in the 16/18 Years division, which delivered a Mackay one-two.
The Monarchs 18 Maroon ultimately secured the championship crown, finishing ahead of their younger counterparts Monarchs 16 Maroon in a fiercely contested division that had local supporters on their feet and perfectly demonstrated the exceptional depth of netball talent in the region.
The host city's golden run extended to the 13 Years division, where Mackay Monarchs 13 Maroon claimed victory over a determined Cairns Pythons 13 Gold side.
Across other age groups, the standard remained exceptional.
Townsville 12 Gold secured the 12 Years title over Boyne Tannum Dolphins 12, Bundaberg 14 Red triumphed in the 14 Years division against Capricorn Coast 14 Gold, while Capricorn Coast 15 Gold claimed the 15 Years, edging out Townsville 14 Gold.
Netball Queensland extends sincere gratitude to all players, coaches, umpires, and volunteers who traveled from across regional Queensland to create this vibrant celebration of our game.
Special thanks go to Mackay Regional Council for their invaluable partnership and support in hosting this marquee event, helping deliver an outstanding experience for all involved.
