The announcement continues a strong period of growth for Junior State Age, following another outstanding event this year hosted by Hinterland District Netball Association on the Gold Coast.
Netball Queensland Head of Competitions Luke Asi said the 2027 event promised to be another standout on the netball calendar.
"Junior State Age is such an important part of netball participation in Queensland, giving young athletes the chance to test themselves against the best in the state while building lifelong friendships and memories," Asi said.
"We know Sunshine Coast Netball Association will deliver an outstanding event, and we can't wait to see the region come together to support our next generation of netball talent."
Netball Queensland would also like to sincerely thank Sunshine Coast Council for its valuable support in securing the 2027 Junior State Age for the region.
Council's ongoing commitment to grassroots sport and major events will play a key role in delivering a successful carnival for participants, families and the wider community, while also generating a welcome boost for the local economy.
Sunshine Coast Resilient Economy Portfolio Councillor Joe Natoli said Council was proud to support opportunities that helped young athletes thrive, from grassroots participation through to elite competition.
"We support the 2027 Junior State Age Championships through Council’s Major Events Sponsorship Program to welcome thousands of players, officials and families to experience our region," Councillor Natoli said.
