A joint initiative of the Queensland Firebirds, Netball Queensland and Containers for Change, the Container Cup invites associations and clubs to collect 10-cent containers throughout the season.
Not only does the challenge give an opportunity for associations and clubs to make a real difference while raising funds, there are great prizes on offer for the top three performers.
The winners of the Container Cup will receive a $1500 digital gift card from HART Sport with the second placed club or association winning a $1000 Hart Sport digital gift card and third place claiming a $500 digital gift card.
Announced in March, the deadline for to enter has been extended to Friday, 30 August, giving associations and clubs who are yet to join the initiative a last chance to be in the running for these great prizes.
Clubs have collected almost 190,000 containers since 2019 with an astonishing 43,563 collected from January 1 to July 22 this year – 8643 more than in the same period last year.
To enter the Container Cup, register here and begin returning containers to any Containers for Change refund point in Queensland using your club’s group member number.
The winners of the 2024 Container Cup will be announced at the 2024 NQ Awards and Leaders Conference on Saturday, 19 October.
