The weekend begins on Friday with a stakeholder function bringing together key figures from across the Gold Coast netball community, before the Board convenes for its annual regional meeting on Saturday.
That same day, Board members will head to the Northern Gold Coast Netball Association (NGNCA) at Runaway Bay to witness community club matches first-hand, connecting with the players, families and volunteers who form the heartbeat of the game in the region.
Netball Queensland Chief Executive Officer Kate Davies said the visit was an important opportunity for the Board to engage directly with the Gold Coast community.
"Bringing the NQ Board and management team into the regions is a vital part of our strategic direction - it lets us listen and connect with our community on the ground, and see up close how the pathway works, from juniors right through to elite competition," Davies said.
"The Gold Coast has a thriving netball community, and we'd love everyone to embrace this huge weekend."
The action continues on Sunday afternoon at Carrara for a massive HART Premier Netball League Sapphire Division derby between the Gold Coast Titans and Bond University Bull Sharks, showcasing the region's rare strength of hosting two elite Sapphire programs.
