Following Sunday's presentations for championship-winning Capricorn Claws, the Merit Team was announced featuring players from the Claws, Far North Flames and North Queensland United.
Selected athletes will now represent the competition in an exhibition match against the Queensland Under-23 First Nations Squad at the HART Premier Netball League Grand Final Day at Nissan Arena in Brisbane on Sunday, 13 September.
The selection represents a genuine pathway moment for regional talent, with the squad chosen by a panel featuring Queensland Firebirds Head Coach Kiri Wills, Firebirds Futures Academy Coach Tracey Bruce and Netball Queensland's Head of Talent and Development Roselee Jencke.
