An emerging talent within Queensland's umpiring ranks, Brown was first elevated into the HPNL program in 2024 and has continued to impress ever since, with her calm court presence and sharp decision-making earning praise from coaches and assessors throughout the competition.
Her rapid progression through Netball Queensland's umpire performance pathway has marked her as one of the state's most exciting young officiating prospects.
Netball Queensland Head High-Performance Umpire Coach Marc Henning said Brown's accreditation was a fitting reward for her consistency and dedication throughout the season.
"Demonstrating an on-court and performance maturity beyond her years, Charlotte brings a genuine desire to learn, a commitment to building her skills and knowledge, and to put out her best effort in every game,” Henning said.
“Charlotte's achievement of the national A Badge is deserved recognition of the high-quality, consistent performances she has delivered each week in the HART Premier Netball League.”
Beyond the court, Brown has also shown a strong commitment to the broader growth of the sport as a past member of Netball Queensland's Youth Advisory Group, further highlighting her dedication to netball's development across the state.
Brown becomes the second Queensland umpire to be awarded a Netball Australia A Badge in 2026, following Chantal Hawkins earlier this season, underlining the strength and depth of umpiring talent coming through the state's high-performance pathway.
