After winning the 16U Division undefeated, the ACU Brisbane North Cougars dominated the 30-player 17U squad with nine players from their title-winning team selected.
Beaten finalists Wildcats have three representatives with the Northern Mendi Rays and Sunshine Coast Thunder boasting four players each in the selection.
TAE Aerospace Jets, Carina Leagues Club Tigers, Gold Coast Titans and Barastoc Panthers were also represented in the selection.
The 19U squad features 29 athletes along with three invitees – Gold Coast Titan Jemimah Andrews, Sunshine Coast Thunder’s Jada Delaney and Wildcats’ Kydan Tuapou.
State Title 18U winners the Tigers have the most representatives in the 19U squad with six players chosen including Grand Final MVP Edie Lenarduzzi.
Finalists Bond University Bull Sharks have five athletes named as do the Cougars.
Thunder, Titans and Wildcats have four athletes including the invitees while the Rays, Capricorn Claws and Panthers are also represented.
The squads will trial throughout the month of November before a final cohort of 16 players is chosen in both age groups in December.
Those squads will then complete a final selection process in January where the final team and training partners are chosen for next year’s Netball Australia National Netball Championships.
“Selectors were delighted by the excellent standard of talent on display throughout the State Titles,” Netball Queensland Head of Pathways Roselee Jencke said.
“We congratulate all those selected in the 17 and Under and 19 and Under Queensland State squads and look forward to seeing them continue their development in the coming months.”
