Thunder came back from a six-goal first-half deficit on Saturday at Nissan Arena to claim a 67-51 win over Brisbane South Wildcats.
The 16-goal victory was cemented with a strong fourth-quarter display.
Back at their UniSC Arena home court on Sunday, the Thunder again came from behind to end league-leader TAE Aerospace Ipswich Jets' unbeaten start to the season and close to just within two points of top spot on the competition ladder.
Defeat for the Jets came after a 54-43 win over the Gold Coast Titans at Nissan Arena on Saturday for Paula Stuart's team where they had to hold off a third-quarter fightback by the Titans to get the points.
The Jets do stay in top spot despite their defeat to the Thunder with five wins and a draw from seven matches, with the Thunder also having five wins but two defeats.
The Titans bounced back on Sunday to beat reigning premiers ACU Brisbane North Cougars 58-49.
Despite being behind early, the Titans took control in the second quarter and pulled away to a deserved nine-point win over the reigning premiers and hold onto third spot on the ladder behind the Jets and Thunder.
A fifth defeat of the season meanwhile for the Cougars, means the competition powerhouse is six points adrift of the finals positions and facing the prospect of missing out on a playoff berth.
The Wildcats meanwhile bounced back from their Saturday defeat to claim their first win since Round Two with a shock 65-58 win over the Bond University Bull Sharks.
The victory leaves the Wildcats sixth on the ladder but having ended their long wait for a win, Megan Lynch's team will be eager to build on that in coming weeks.
The Bull Sharks are holding onto fourth spot on the ladder despite Sunday's defeat having defeated last-placed Carina Leagues Club Tigers 61-56 on Saturday.
There is just one match this weekend in the HART Sapphire Series with the Wildcats and Titans facing off this Saturday at Nissan Arena from 4pm.
