The Jets have all but sewn up the minor premiership after a convincing 64-48 win over a faltering Bull Sharks.
Victory means the Jets are six points clear on the top of the ladder with two matches to play and a win this weekend over second-placed Gold Coast Titans will secure the minor premiership for Paula Stuart's team.
Bond are in danger of missing the finals after their third defeat in a row leaves them fifth on the ladder but crucially now six points outside the playoff positions, although their remaining matches are against the lowly Carina Leagues Club Tigers and Brisbane South Wildcats, giving Bec Stower's team hope of reversing their form and sneaking into the top four.
Sunshine Coast Thunder vs Gold Coast Titans
The Titans issues a statement with a 58-53 win over the Thunder at Nissan Arena, a victory which puts them four points clear in second place ahead of next weekend's mouth-watering match-up against the Jets.
Locked 43-all at the end of the third-quarter, the Titans were just too strong for the Thunder in the final term as they pulled away to a five-point win - having lead by as much as 10 points at one point in a dominant last quarter display.
Thunder will look to bounce back next weekend against the Wildcats as they aim to lock up fourth spot and their finals position.
ACU Brisbane North Cougars vs Carina Leagues Club Tigers
The Cougars' late season charge continued with a dominant 62-46 win over the lowly Tigers, a victory which lifts the premiers up into third position and with their sluggish first half of the season now a distant memory.
Liz White's team got the jump at the start, opening up a 12-point first-quarter lead from which they never looked back and ensuring they'll remain in the top four regardless of results next weekend when they have the bye.
The Tigers' third loss in a row means they slip to the bottom of the competition ladder, behind the Wildcats on percentage with just one match of their season remaining next weekend against the Bull Sharks before a bye in the final round.
The opening term proved pivotal, with the Tigers unable to bridge the 12-goal gap established by the Cougars despite matching them for most of the contest until the final 10 minutes.
