While the Titans cannot break into the competition top two with Kedron-Wavell Cougars and the ICare Group Australia Ipswich Jets having secured those positions, a 64-34 win over the Moreton Bay City Pulse at Nissan Arena in Round 12 has the Titans now four points clear of Gold Coast rivals Bond University Bull Sharks on the ladder.
With just two rounds remaining, the Titans can all but seal third spot this weekend when they take on the Sunshine Coast Thunder.
The fourth-placed Bull Sharks will play finals with fifth-placed Thunder too far back to catch the premiers on the ladder, but they'll be aiming to find some form before the post-season begins after slumping to a 63-61 defeat to Sunshine Coast on Sunday.
That loss was the Bull Sharks third in a row after defeats to the Carina Leagues Club Tigers and Titans in the Round 10 and 11 double-header weekend.
There's no such form issues for the Cougars and Jets, who remain locked in a tense battle for the minor premiership.
The Cougars are top on percentage after 72-43 thumping of the Tigers while the Jets, who also have just one defeat for the season, welcomed back Tonga Commonwealth Games representative Hulita Veve as they recorded a 79-56 win over the Brisbane South Wildcats.
