Eager to bounce back from an injury-hit second weekend in Rockhampton last month, United made the most of home advantage to complete their first clean sweep of a Ruby North weekend with victories over the Far North Flames, Mackay Monarchs and Capricorn Claws.
The strong performance means United head into next month's final round in Cairns in a two-way battle for the title with the Claws, who remain in top spot on percentage after picking up two wins across the Townsville weekend.
The Flames, who will host the final stop, sit third with four wins from nine matches so far while the Monarchs are looking to finish their premiership defence in the strongest possible fashion after a winless weekend left them last on the standings with just one win so far this season.
United and the Claws showed their superiority in Saturday's double-header action with both claiming wins over the Monarchs and Flames.
In Sunday's action, it was United to took out the clash of the top two, defeating the Claws 52-47 to wrap up their perfect weekend while the Flames ended their Townsville trip on a high with a 44-32 win over the Monarchs.
Ruby North will wrap up on August 15 and 16 in Cairns with Sunday, August 16's clash between United and the Claws shaping up as a potential winner-takes-all clash.
