Having defeated the Sunshine Coast Thunder in their opening fixture before a tough loss to the Kedron Wavell Cougars, the Wildcats inflicted a second defeat in three games for the Jets with the 69-50 victory at Nissan Arena on Saturday.
Up by just two goals at the halftime break, the Wildcats dominated the second-half with Round 1 MVP Georgia Lindsay again shining on her way to a game-high 30 points including eight Super Shots.
The Jets, playing without their Firebirds Futures stars who were in Melbourne for the Super Netball Reserves finals, Naomi Solomona led the scoring with 25 points including four two-pointers.
In other Round 3 action, the Gold Coast Titans made it three wins from three to sit atop the ladder with a 64-55 win over the Cougars.
With scores level heading into the final quarter of the clash between the two unbeaten teams, the Titans restricted the Cougars to just eight points in the last period, scoring 17 to take victory against a Cougars team also missing several players due to Firebirds Futures selections.
Deadeye goal attack Josie Bingham again dominated from Super Shot range with 10 two-pointers for the Titans while young shooter Simone Botha notched 41 goals for the Cougars.
Saturday also lead to a first win of the season for the Carina Leagues Club Tigers as they claimed a 53-43 victory over the Thunder on the Sunshine Coast.
Round 3 wraps up on Wednesday night with Moreton Bay City Pulse looking for their first Sapphire division win against Bond University Bull Sharks at Nissan Arena from 7pm.
