A new selection of netball’s next generation of leaders have been chosen to form Netball Queensland’s (NQ) Youth Advisory Group in 2023.
Following on from the great strides taken by the inaugural YAG in 2022, a selection of 10 people ranging in age from 12 to 22 have been chosen.
As well as their age range, those selected represent a wide cross-section of the state with Townsville, Rockhampton, Mt Isa, Biloela, Bundaberg and Mackay residents among the group.
“Last year’s Youth Advisory Group provided valuable feedback to NQ management on youth sentiment and the experience of participating in netball,” NQ General Manager Glenn Dennis said.
“They set a platform for members to discuss views and ideas on multiple topics.
“We are now excited to see what this new cohort can achieve in 2023 to build on this platform and provide benefits to themselves and the entire netball community.”
The 2023 YAG will hold its first meeting on Monday, February 20 with a further nine monthly meetings to follow.
