With Firebirds Futures shooter Kaylin Van Gruenen scoring a whopping 63 points, including 61 one-point goals, the Bull Sharks were far too strong for the Pulse at Nissan Arena, running out 76-47 winners as the defending premiers continue to make their Round One loss to the Kedron-Wavell Cougars a distant memory.
The 29-point win means the Bull Sharks are fourth on the ladder, one of three teams sitting on three wins and one loss after four rounds of the Sapphire Division season.
It was a weekend of convincing wins for three of the competition's top four, with the Cougars and Gold Coast Titans also claiming big victories.
The Titans, who sit in second place, were 79-54 winners over the Carina Leagues Club Tigers while the Cougars were far too strong for the Brisbane South Wildcats with an 83-56 victory.
In the Round's other match the table-topping ICare Group Australia Ipswich Jets maintained their 100 per cent record to stay one game clear on the standings with a 71-62 win over the Sunshine Coast Thunder.
Despite the loss, Thunder goaler Sally Jenkins had a day to remember as she nailed 12 Super Shots to finish the match with 41 points.
The action resumes with a double-header weekend this Saturday and Sunday with Rounds 5 and 6 to be played across both days.
