The Jets, having lost twice in their opening three matches of 2025, overcame a six-point first quarter deficit to record a 47-42 victory over the still winless Pulse at Nissan Arena.
Bookends Naomi Solomona and Lily Gribble shone for the Jets, Solomona top scoring with 27 points while Firebirds training partner Gribble was a rock at the defensive end.
Having kept the Jets to just eight goals in the opening term, Pulse would've been dreaming of a first win but it wasn't to be as the premiers fired back to be ahead by two at the half - a lead they would only build for the remainder of the contest.
Meanwhile the Kedron Wavell Cougars bounced back from their Round 3 loss to Gold Coast Titans with a dominant 71-43 win over the Carina Leagues Club Tigers.
An amazing first quarter performance set up the win with the Cougars charging to a 24-7 lead at the first break.
Nalani Makunde was unstoppable in the goal circle for the Cougars with 49 points including three Super Shots as the Cougars held onto second spot on the ladder.
The league-leading Titans continued their imposing start to the season, crushing the Brisbane South Wildcats 73-33 in a one-way demolition to maintain their 100 per cent record.
Up 20-6 at the first break, the Titans never took their foot off the pedal and won the final term 20-3 to claim a 40-point win.
The final match of the round was played on the Sunshine Coast with the Sunshine Coast Thunder narrowly defeating Bond University Bull Sharks 62-58.
Thunder trailed at every change but a late flurry of goals by Sally Jenkins led to the the home team snatching the lead in the dying minutes to secure their second win of the season.
As well as some fierce on-court action, this weekend was a special one as the competition's Pride Round, with Ruby, Sapphire and M-League teams proudly celebrating inclusion, diversity and love across the game.
