It has been just over a week since the National Netball Champs were cancelled for 2020, and as our players and management teams adjust to the abrupt end to months of training and preparation, Netball Queensland would like to acknowledge our wonderful Management Teams and in particular our coaching teams led by Simone Nalatu (19U Head Coach) and Lauren Forbes (17U Head Coach) who began planning their 2020 campaigns in October 2019 and spent their summer holidays refining and developing them further. Netball Queensland thanks all our management teams for their selfless commitment to the players and Netball Queensland in preparing both teams to perform with distinction at the National Netball Championships.
Netball Queensland would also like to acknowledge and commend the talented athletes who have also spent the summer putting in the hard work and who have shown such huge improvements individually, and as a team over the last 3 months of trainings. These players are the future of Queensland netball and they have shown that the future does indeed look bright. We thank all players and their families for their commitment and dedication over the last 5 months and are very proud of the way both teams have shown their resilience and class in such difficult times.
