“We know it’s been tough for many children who missed out on opportunities to participate in team sport as a result of Covid lockdowns Bennett said.
“This is a remarkable opportunity for our avid netballers and those looking to try netball – young women and men. It’s also a great opportunity for schools looking for additional physical activity and skill development opportunities for their students to access these sessions funded by Sport Aus.”
“Teachers, this is your chance to gain access to funding that is on the table for your school to run netball sessions in term 4.”
“We often hear feedback from teachers about how engaging the netball program has been in their school in a term when the students are a little fatigued towards the end of the year.
It’s more than that for us, participants have the opportunity to experience netball fundamentals in a different way and to develop a range of skills that are important beyond the court, such as teamwork, communication and game sense. It’s a great opportunity for our sport to be a pivotal part of influencing the next generation.”
