The event is part of the Queensland Firebirds’ Suncorp Super Netball First Nations Round and has been made possible via a Celebrating Reconciliation grant from the Queensland Government.
The event will be open to the public, with no cap on attendance, but clinic numbers will be capped at 150 participants.
The theme of the clinic is 'Be a Voice for Generations', which reflects the theme of National Reconciliation Week.
The event will provide an immersive First Nations experience with a smoking ceremony, Welcome to Country and indigenous artists' workshop.
Participants will also have an opportunity to meet and greet members of the Queensland Firebirds Suncorp Super Netball squad after their training session at Nissan Arena.
Registered participants are also in the running to win one of five family passes to the Queensland Firebirds First Nations Round match against the Melbourne Vixens on Sunday, June 4.
Netball Queensland's Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is committed to improving pathways for First Nations peoples, fostering programs to ensure our intent and commitment to reconciliation translates into tangible actions and builds cultural capability. This clinic is a tangible action towards that commitment.
The event is being supported by Deadly Choices and delivered in consultation with Netball Queensland's First Nation Advisory Group and RAP Working Group.

“We’re excited to provide this opportunity for our netball community to participate in a reconciliation initiative and actively support National Reconciliation Week.”
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships Minister Craig Crawford was thrilled to be supporting Netball Queensland’s initiative through the Celebrating Reconciliation Grants program.
“Sports, such as netball, can provide a wonderful opportunity to promote and facilitate reconciliation,” Minister Crawford said.
“I want to thank Netball Queensland for raising awareness of National Reconciliation Week within the netball community and for their efforts in encouraging members to support and take action for change in their broader communities”.
