After winning both the 16U and 18U division for the second year in a row at State Titles, the Kedron-Wavell Cougars dominate both selections with a total of 17 athletes across both squads.
There are seven Cougars in the 17U selection including 16U Grand Final MVP Matilda Canning while beaten grand finalists Carina Leagues Club Tigers also have five athletes selected.
Cougars dominate the 19U selection with a whopping 10 athletes named after their unbeaten defence of their 18U title with beaten grand finalists Bond University Bull Sharks the next best with four athletes named.
Townsville-based Ruby North franchise North Queensland United are well represented in the 17U selection with three athletes named while far north Queensland product Asha Lynch-Simmons was selected in the 19U squad.
The Redlands City Eagles are also represented with five athletes selected across the two squads while Far North Flames youngster Ruby Croxford has been chosen in the 17U squad.
The squads will trial until mid-October before a final cohort of 16 players is chosen in both age groups.
Those squads will then complete a final selection process where the final team and training partners are chosen for next year’s Netball Australia National Netball Championships.
