This exciting rebrand reflects the growth and future vision for netball in Queensland, encompassing three divisions: Sapphire, Ruby and the newly introduced Ruby North.
The HART Premier Netball League brings together all divisions under one unified competition banner, streamlining the pathway for athletes across the state.
The Sapphire division will commence its competition window next year following the Super Netball Reserves competition, allowing NQ pathways athletes to compete in both competitions without crossover.
The Ruby division meanwhile starts four weeks earlier to ensure a synchronised Finals Series.
The Ruby North division will align with the traditional netball window, supporting the competitive needs of regional Queensland.
Netball Queensland is committed to preparing athletes for the upcoming season with a comprehensive pre-season competition. This will provide clubs and teams with the opportunity to refine their skills ahead of the official competition.
The competition will also see the addition of several new teams for 2025. The Moreton Bay City Pulse will compete in both the Sapphire and Ruby divisions, while Redlands Coast Netball will join the Ruby division.
The Ruby North division will comprise Townsville City Netball, Mackay Monarchs, Far North Flames and Capricorn Claws.
“This rebrand is an exciting development in streamlining our elite pathways and continuing our proven commitment to providing opportunity for our best athletes, no matter where they live in Queensland, to achieve their full potential,” Netball Queensland Chief Executive Officer Kate Davies said.
“The HART Premier Netball League will provide a universal competition for the state’s best netball talent to compete under.
“With the addition of several new franchises and the formation of the Ruby North division, 2025 is set to be a huge season for all of Queensland and one that will continue to showcase the growth and status of our sport across the state.”
Trials for the 2025 season are currently underway and prospective athletes can find more information about trials at respective clubs’ social media channels.
The 2025 season fixture will be released early next year.
