Headlined by the six-team Premier Women’s division featuring four HART Premier Netball League teams as well as South Australian duo Contax and South Adelaide, the SCNI will provide an exciting opportunity to start the netball season in style.
The action begins at 8am on Saturday with six matches across the Premier Women’s and three community divisions including Contax facing HART Premier Netball League powerhouse Brisbane North Cougars and Gold Coast Titans taking on Brisbane South Wildcats in an all-Queensland match-up.
The Firebirds Masters, competing in the Open Women’s division and featuring some familiar names to Queensland netball fans, will take to the court in the second round of matches on Saturday against Caloundra Opens.
With eight teams in the Open Women’s, four in the Men’s and six in the Under-18s, the SCNI will feature a total of 24 teams playing 64 matches across the weekend with the Super Shot (two-point) scoring system in place throughout.
The action culminates in finals on Sunday with the champions of the four divisions to be decided including the Premier Women’s decider from 10.20am on the Nissan Arena Show Court.

As well as the exciting opportunity on court, SCNI participants will also enjoy exclusive access to watch the Queensland Firebirds face the Melbourne Mavericks in a pre-season trial match on Friday night - a priceless opportunity to experience elite netball up close.
