With both teams having notched wins in their opening round fixtures, the round two meeting at Carrara was an eagerly anticipated one and didn't disappoint with the Titans eventually emerging with a 73-67 win over their local rivals.
Goal attack Josie Bingham was deadly from the Super Shot range, notching 11 two-pointers while goal shooter Roxanne Rhind added three doubles of her own alongside a game-high 28 one-pointers as the Titans backed up their round one triumph over defending premiers TAE Aerospace Jets.
For the Bull Sharks, former Queensland Firebird Mia Stower was again a stand out in attack with eight Super Shots on her way to a total of 38 points in a match where a dominant third-quarter by the Titans proved the difference.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Kedron-Wavell Cougars joined the Titans with a perfect record after two rounds with a dominant 32-goal win over the Brisbane South Wildcats.
A remarkable haul of 14 Super Shots by Queensland First Nations representative Lily Cubby provided the template for the Cougars as they romped to a 76-44 at Nissan Arena while Charlotte Jonsen and Gemma Hutchings formed a formidable duo in defence with Wildcats' held to just 28 goals in the first three quarters.
The Jets meanwhile bounced back from their opening round defeat with a comfortable 20-goal win over the Carina Leagues Club Tigers.
A 14-6 first quarter was the springboard for the Jets' win, with the loss leaving the Tigers winless after their first two fixtures.
Coco Smith led the way with 36 goals for the Jets while Sarah Harris also stood out at wing attack.
For the Tigers, Charlie Preston's 28 points included six Super Shots.
Moreton Bay City Pulse's wait for an inaugural HART Premier Netball League Sapphire Division victory will have to go on for another week after the league newcomers were defeated on the road against Sunshine Coast Thunder.
A Thunder team which included multiple Sunshine Coast Lightning Suncorp Super Netball training partners including Rylee Burns, Baylee Boyd and Nat Sligar overturned a five-goal halftime deficit to claim a 63-60 win with crucial late goals by Sally Jenkins proving the difference after a two-point shot by Ella Fitzgerald in the closing seconds had levelled the scores and given Pulse hope of a maiden win.
Jenkins scored 30 points including three two-pointers at an impressive 96.77 per cent while Fitzgerald's late two-pointer was one of seven she made in a nailbiting clash at Chancellor College on the Sunshine Coast.
