Run by Netball Queensland and endorsed by Queensland School Sport, the Vicki Wilson Championship is the premier netball competition for high schools across Queensland.
Teams compete in Vicki Wilson Shield (grade 7 to 9) and Vicki Wilson Cup (grade 10 to 12) divisions.
Queensland high schools play off against other schools in their school sport region in the Vicki Wilson Cup preliminary rounds. The top 20 schools in Vicki Wilson Cup and Vicki Wilson Shield from across the state then enter the Vicki Wilson Cup finals series for the chance to be crowned state champion.

Concussion Management Programme
Netball Queensland have partnered with the Headsmart Sports Concussion Programme to help manage concussion and the return to play process for Netballers of all ages across Queensland. For a very small annual fee of $20, Netballers can undergo an online baseline assessment which will then provide valuable individualised feedback if they do suffer a head knock during the season. This information will assist medical practitioners to accurately assess the player’s concussion status and capacity to return to play safely. All of Netball Queensland’s elite programs, including the Lorna Jane Queensland Firebirds are using this programme and we would encourage all players to do the same. For more information please review the information paper here. NQ and Headsmart Sports Concussion Programme
